HBBS Receives Civic Award

We are delighted to announce that HBBS has received a Civic Award from the London Borough of Havering. This is the highest award a London Borough can give to an individual or a charity.

On Friday 12th November 2021 accompanied by Dennis Rensch, a Deputy Lieutenant for Essex, Sue Newth-Gibbs, chair of HBBS attended Havering Town Hall to be greeted by the former Mayor Councillor Michael Deon Burton and the current Mayor John Mylord who were making the awards, jointly, for 2020.

The Ceremony in the Council Chamber saw twelve recipients receive awards. HBBS’s citation referred to our long and ongoing work in the Borough, plus the complexity and range of our counselling work. The Certificate commends us for our “meritorious service to the community” and comes with a ceremonial Havering Pin.

On behalf of HBBS Sue thanked the Mayor and Councillor Burton for the recognition afforded to our organisation and hoped that our long association would continue.
