COUNSELLING STANDARDS "PARAMOUNT" AT HBBS, SAYS LISA MASON-GATES

All counsellors at Havering & Brentwood Counselling Services are registered with the UK’s leading professional body to ensure the “highest standard” of treatment, says the charity’s Counselling Manager Lisa Mason-Gates.

Speaking ahead of World Health Day next month (April 7th), Lisa has confirmed that HBBS and all counsellors working for the charity are members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

She explained why it is so important to seek the association with BACP when choosing counselling services.

“When you’re looking for a counsellor, its really important to look for the highest standards,” she explained.

“HBBS is a member of the BACP as are all of our counsellors at HBBS.

“The BACP stands for the  British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

“The BACP is a professional body which supports and maintains the highest standard of the counselling profession.

“HBBS adhere to and follow the ethical guidelines as set out by the BACP so clients know when they come to us they can trust us to work to the highest professional standards.”

HBBS offers counselling to adults and children for a range of issues including bereavement, anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias, relationship breakdown and much more.

A specific project run by the charity is the #4Me programme - part funded by Children In Need - which offers counselling to primary and secondary school children in need of counselling support.
